Senior Software Engineer

Works with peers, Director of Engineering, and CTO to coordinate database development and design, develop, debug, and deliver features for the Skyfire browser product and service. Analyzes user needs and develops software in C++ and Java to realize the product design and reach the performance metrics as defined by the product design team. Interacts with system analysts, engineers, programmers, third party consulting and offshore development teams to give technical advice and collaborate in the design and development of key components of the Skyfire browser service. Provides technical leadership to junior and entry level developers. Trains interns in software design, development, and engineering processes.

Education/Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science.
  • One year of experience. In lieu of a Master's Degree plus 1 year of experience, will accept a Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience.
  • Experience with highly multithreaded C++ server design and development.
  • Experience with high performance, high available fault tolerant server systems.
  • Experience in high performance messaging infrastructure in multi-tiered web service architecture.
  • Experience in high performance search, data aggregation and caching methodologies and implementations.
  • Experience with database and network programming.
